Services

I provide mental health therapy for individual adults via telehealth.

with specializations in treating anxiety, post-traumatic stress, burnout, overwhelm, complex trauma, depression, ADHD, neurodivergence, chronic health conditions, OCD, physical and/or intellectual disabilities, life transitions and grief and loss.

I approach therapy with an open heart and a compassionate, curious mind.

Treatment with me will be client-centered, focusing on meeting you where you are and supporting you with where you want to go.

Treatment Modalities

Meaningful therapy is rooted in a genuine, trusting connection between therapist and client.

To align with this belief, the treatment methods I use are flexible, client-paced, and backed by extensive evidence-based research supporting their clinical efficacy.

Outlined below are the therapy modalities I utilize most in my practice. I often integrate multiple modalities in my approach, which allows me to effectively tailor treatment to best fit each person’s unique situation and support needs.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

What does ‘CBT’ treatment look like?

This approach means we will work together to identify and understand how your life experiences have contributed to your core beliefs. Then, through this deeper understanding, we explore how these beliefs impact your life in the present, reflect on how they’ve impacted your past, and gently consider if these beliefs are currently serving you or if you feel that adjusting or reframing them would better align with the life you want to live.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

What does ‘DBT’ treatment look like?

This approach involves us identifying and honoring difficult emotions you’re experiencing while also learning to navigate these distressing feelings in different, healthier ways that better align with your personal goals. DBT focuses on helping people decrease the frequency, duration and intensity of overwhelming emotions by learning new coping strategies centered around emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness (communication skills), and mindfulness.

While I utilize aspects of DBT treatment in my practice, I do not provide this as part of a larger DBT treatment program.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

What does ‘MI’ treatment look like?

Motivational Interviewing involves me listening deeply to your story to better understand your perspectives and values, the struggles you’re facing, what differences you’d like to see in your life, and what changes you’ve tried so far that haven’t worked the way you’d hoped. This insight helps us clarify your motivation for change and resolves feelings of ambivalence and insecurities that can create barriers to meaningful change.

MI is a non-judgemental, empathetic approach that highly values client empowerment and aims to build feelings of safety, trust, understanding and genuine connection within therapeutic relationships.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

What does ‘ACT’ treatment look like?

ACT treatment will involve us identifying what you value most in life and then committing to these values by having them guide your daily behaviors and decisions. Together we will work to help you develop new coping skills to support with learning to: accept all thoughts (even uncomfortable ones) as part of the human experience, view thoughts as transient rather than concrete facts, maintain a non-judgemental awareness of the present, and foster a stable sense of self amidst changing internal experiences.

ACT helps to improve mental flexibility, reduces human suffering, builds resilience, and promotes living a life that feels meaningful and purposeful.
